Ring of Fire rules - How to play, top tips and fun variations<\/h3>\n

What is Ring of Fire?
\nRing of Fire is a classic drinking game played with a standard deck of cards and drinks for each participant. The deck is placed in a circle around a glass in the centre - the 'ring'. Players take turns drawing cards and following the rules associated with each card. The game is sociable, easy to learn and quickly creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Basic rules<\/h3>\n

Preparations
\nPlace a glass in the centre of the table.<\/p>\n

All participants pour a few sips of their drink into the glass in the centre.<\/h3>\n

Shuffle the deck and lay the cards face up in a circle around the glass.<\/p>\n

The players are seated around the table and the order is clockwise.<\/p>\n

Game play<\/h3>\n

Players take turns drawing a card from the ring.<\/p>\n

When you draw a card, you read the value of the card and follow the rule associated with the card.<\/p>\n

Draw cards with one hand and avoid breaking the circle. If the circle is broken, you must drink the contents of the glass in the centre.<\/p>\n

Ace (A) - Vattenfall<\/h3>\n

Everyone starts drinking at the same time and can't stop until the person to your left has finished. This creates a fun chain reaction and lots of laughter.<\/p>\n

Tip: Keep a steady pace so that no one drinks too quickly or slowly.<\/p>\n

Kung (K) - King's Cup<\/h3>\n

When you draw a king, you pour some of your drink into the glass in the centre. The fourth king drawn must drink everything in the glass.<\/p>\n

Tip: Be careful with the last king - it's the highlight of the game and can be really exciting!<\/p>\n

Queen (Q) - The Question Master<\/h3>\n

The person who draws the queen may ask questions to other players. Whoever answers must ask a new question. Whoever fails drinks.<\/p>\n

Jacks (J) - Rimleken<\/h3>\n

Say a word, and everyone has to rhyme in turn. Whoever can't rhyme drinks.<\/p>\n

Choose a category, for example \"car brands\" or \"fruits\". Everyone says something within the category in turn. Whoever can't say anything drinks.<\/p>\n

Choose a theme, for example \"films\" or \"countries\". Everyone says something related to the theme. Anyone who hesitates or repeats something drinks.<\/p>\n

Choose a partner to drink when you drink for the rest of the game.<\/p>\n

Tip: Choose someone you want to have extra fun with!<\/p>\n

7 - Sky<\/h3>\n

Everyone quickly points upwards. Whoever is last to do so drinks.<\/p>\n

Tip: Be alert and quick to avoid drinking.<\/p>\n

2-6 - Drink<\/h3>\n

These cards involve either drinking yourself or handing out sips to others.<\/p>\n

Tip: Be fair when handing out sips so that everyone has fun.<\/p>\n
